Overnight Closure of the Ramps from I-495 North to I-66 East and West Planned Tonight, July 9, and Next Week, July 12-15, for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project

UPDATE (7/15/2021): This work will also be implemented Friday night, July 16, from midnight to 4 a.m.

FAIRFAX – The ramps from northbound I-495 to I-66 East and I-66 West are scheduled to be closed Friday night, July 9, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.; Monday, July 12, through Wednesday, July 14, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly; and Thursday night, July 15, from midnight to 4 a.m. for paving and implementation of a traffic shift. Drivers will be directed to continue north to Route 7 (Leesburg Pike). Drivers traveling to I-66 East will exit to Route 7 East, travel about one mile, then follow signs to I-66 East. Drivers traveling to I-66 West will exit to Route 7 West, stay to the right to I-495 South, then follow signs to I-66 West.

The I-66/I-495 Interchange is being rebuilt as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
